before yall get all whiny and cry SEARCH i did, the posts all say the same thing MAKE SURE SERIAL IS CORRECT! IT IS!!!!! than i read to put spaces after the = symbols, i did and it got the editor back to normal! BUILD GAME STILL DOSNT WORK!!!!!!!

Have you emailed lee about it? if your sure your serial code is correct then email lee and im sure he can help you find a solution.

As for us, none of us are the developers of this software, so we can only offer the advice that we are given. So im sorry for not being able to help you more but we simply don't know why that is happening. Lee may be able to help you more so fire off an email to him

there are also files i do not recignise, did the update put these in or what? what do they do?

good idea! first i read supports e mail to me

The following is a reply to your enquiry:
"
Backup your maps and custom media.
Uninstall FPS Creator from Program Files > The Game Creators > FPS Creator Setup using the remove option.
Reboot your PC
Delete any files remaining in FPS Creator directory
Reinstall FPS Creator
Download latest patch from http://www.fpscreator.com/downloads.html
Install that patch
Add any model packs one at a time

Typically if the software continues to lock after that, then the serial number is illegal. This can happen if you purchase it from a 3rd party source.

what i did was
1, backup all my junk
2, uninstall fpsc
3, reboot
4, reinstall fpsc
5, install the update
6, (somthing i didnt originaly do) run the fpsc file cleaner
7, install the model packs
8, put all my junk in
