FPS Creator X10 / Is it possible to run X10 at the same speed as X9?

I am using a Vista laptop which is probably the reason why it is so slow. I am currently using X9. So if I move to X10 and set the preferences to low, will it run the same frame rate? X10 has been specifically designed for Vista unlike X9.
I am using a new intel graphics driver that has 356MB RAM.
I have tried the X10 demo though and it gives me a message saying unable to locate any direct3D devices even though I have DX10.

Do you have the "latest" directX 10 drivers installed?
What video card do you have?

I fixed it. All I had to do was put run as admin in the compatibility mode.

Just cause you are running Vista does not mean you are running Directx 10

The Intel Media Graphics on you machine does not Support Directx 10 fully... So FPS Creator X10 will not work with your Machine. You need an 8000 Series or better Nvidia Card to make Fps Creator X10 work properly.

It does work. I'm guessing that it won't lag if I set everything on low. I checked my GPU info and it said it was using the Dx10 driver.

And you're able to play the games you make? I've heard you can use the map editor, but that you can't play or test the games if your graphics card doesn't support X10.

It does support X10 but seeing from the demo I won't be able to put the fancy effects on. I advise that there should be an option to run it in windowed mode and video resolution if it already hasn't. Windowed games are more efficient.

try changeing your desktop res to 1024x768 or lower,

That should speed things up.

Wouldn't that mess up with FPSC? It also wouldn't speed it up that much.
