I will be working also to convert stock media, and any of the stock media that I find thats converted, will also be able to be downloaded from here. Also any of the media you submit if you post it here please put the Direct X10 logo which is below in a psd form on this post.

But you can't release any of it, because of the copyright.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, I'm pretty sure I read that you can use any of the included media and sell it. I recall them mentioning that you could make reskins of the existing content an sell that. So unless I'm wrong you could release it. At least as long as you don't make more than $5000 I guess.

I believe you have to make a new texture. You can't just edit the existing one if you plan on distributing.

Make them the same way you do for X9 then make a normal and spec map then take a look at one of my .fpi files and the rest will become clear to you if not then just post what you need help with.

...absolutely correct. You are breaking the license by distributing the textures for these stock X9 models.

Very generous and good effort, but you'd best stop posting these for DL...

They can be released if he has changed the texture in anyway it is fine what he cant do is give us the original or the .x file if he did that then it would be copyright as it is its not many people do this on the forums.

no i mean it has to be edited significantly the D2 texture should not be redistributed but he can give us the _S and _N textures and the FPE then we just rename the _D2 texture to _D instead but the _S and _N textures he can give us because it is something he has made. Not something that is already in the software.


NOTE: i think its S and N it might be S and B im not sure just correct that cos i dunno what the extension is.

...the D2 texture appear to be untouched, and are included in the DL above.

These are specifically what I was referring to, in my previous post.

Alright i'll edit the rar to adjust it I think I accidentaly put the .x in those anyway I know the _D texture is in there but I put an aplha map on it so it has been altered.
