I swear I've had the last of this engine.
My threads will not finish when I build games or create
test levels. I don't know how or what causes FPSC to not
finish building the darn things but... I cannot post anything new
because my games will not start at all.

This is how simple my map is I tried to test...
4 rooms and they are 1x1, 4x3, 1x2, and another is 3x3.
It is not full of entities and there are no characters.
I've been waiting 2 hours.... and that is unacceptable.

I tried version 1.13 and 1.12 and THEN 1.11 and THEN 1.10...
all leading to the same failure.

Can anybody help me here?
My computer has building levels since I got it...
up to this point in time...

ok. you were missing the cpu be all-well.

Am guessing there is another program that is interfearing with this or is using the cpu more than fpsc. not sure what exactly whould cause this.

am out of ideas already. am sorry if I wasn't in too much help for you. I hope you get this fix soon. and if you do post it up so others wth the same issues can check out how you did it.

How huge are your levels? I ask because I'm running into the same problems. I made a huge level and started adding lighting and ntities and now it gets stuck compileing, so I have to cut my levels down now. Try cutting your levels up in a way that maybe one huge level becomes 2 to 3. Hopefully that will help.

EDIT: it seems nothing is helping. I made my level smaller, then i upgraded to 1.13 and I still get stuck on 'waiting for threads to finish 21/149'

EDIT EDIT: I had to rebuild the level from scratch only small in order to get it to work propperly, but it compiles now. Perhaps something ha gotten corrupt like in mine.

I had this problem and reinstalling it seemed to do the trick for me...but you've already fixed it.

Maybe I deleted a .dll
I think I might have actually. :0

And, my CPU runs at 2% without FPSC... so IDK.

ok its best if you uninstall and re-install it.
try 1.09 and install s4mod.
it has better proformance than fpsc by itself

There is a very simple solution to this. I've had the same problem.

Open the 'setup.ini' file within the FPSC root installation directory folder and edit with notepad.

In the [GAMEMAKE] section ensure the follwing command reads as follows 'lightmapthreadmax=-1'. Save then re render your level.

Ok

Try adjusting the value to 0 and then 1 if that didn't work.

I can't remember exactly what the value is but one of those should work for you.

Also ensure that you edit the setup.ini whilst FPSC isn't running otherwise the settings won't be saved.
