Dark GDK / Texture not showing up

Hi!

This simple code

dbLoadImage( "C:\grass.bmp" , 1 );
dbTextureObject( 1 , 1 );

Should set object #1s texture to image #1, right?

Well, I doesn't show up, still that old gray boring color.
What causes this? How do I fix it?

Btw : I have created the object with the DirectX Device, but it responds to position etc.

Try putting the grass.bmp into your project folder and using

dbLoadImage("grass.bmp",1);

See if that works.

Make sure you created the object with UV data
