Dark GDK / Seams ingame

In my modelling program, it doesn't show the seams, but ingame it shows them and it makes it look rubbish >_< any help?

Hold on, it works without a lightmap (created in 3d world studio) but when I add one, it doesn't work. help!

What format did you save it in? .x files only allow one set of UV data, and light-maps require different UV coordinates to the normal textures.

it is a .dbo and the road is a .3ds (then converted to .smf with 3d world studio)
