Just noticed this very strange 'bug', if it even is a bug. Bear in mind through this process I'm not changing any code at all, just the Application Window Caption textbox. In my project if I get some really wierd things happening when I change the window caption, this is what I did:

1. Left it as default "DarkBASIC Pro Project" and it runs fine.
2. Changed it to read "DarkBASIC" and it still ran fine.
3. Changed it to something unrelated, "Unrelated" and again ran normally.
4. Changed it to the name of my project "FlyRoads" and it couldn't recieve any input (not even the escape key).
5. Changed it back to "Unrelated" and got a "Could Not Load Image at Line"
6. Any name after that (default as well) still says the same "Could Not Load Image" error.

The only way to get it to work again is to close and reopen the project and set the caption back to the default. Then it runs fine. This is the strangest thing that's ever occurred so if someone could please do some testing and see if it happens in their projects as well (esp check if thier project name/folder works) it'd be very much appreciated.

I had this *STRANGE* bug too a looong while back (P3.1 I think)...

I thought it was fixed in a new patch but I really haven't had any reason for changing the caption since then, so I haven't testet it recently...

If more people encounter this "BUG" ( ) it must be repported at once...

The problem here is that at some point during your testing you opened a new instance of your project when an old instance was still running.

This is all too easy to do with a windowed project.

Annoyingly this totally freaks out DBPro, you'd think it was a little girl who'd just seen a spider.

You need to exit DBPro and your project application(s), then restart DBPro - you do not need to restart the whole PC.

Nope, that most definately isn't the problem. On occasions I'll notice the compiled exe hasn't closed properly and I have to end the process myself within the Task Manager. However, in this case I've done a fresh restart of my computer, simply opened the project and renamed the caption and it still doesn't receive input.

The compiled exe files is still running in the task manager if you exit it using the X in the upper right corner...

I cannot open 2 DBPro project at once... Not even 2 different projects... When I have DBPro started and open it again, it loads normally. When finished loading and the interface has shown it detects that another instance of DBPro is already running and therefore just exits... Så that cannot be the problem, Dryll...

BUT at this very moment I have just testet a very simple code wich basically just uses a Do-Loop and shows the current Framerate. If I press escape it will Exit the loop and end the application...

Then I testet it with all kinds of window captions and sizes... Also FSEX... Everything i tried worked just fine, inclusive this:

So this is a very strange bug...

I also some time ago encountered a bug when using the "Edit Fileversion". I changed everything... And when I right clicked on the compiled EXE and checked the version info, it looked fine except a spelling error. I quikly corrected my spelling error and recompiled and checked again... But no changes where made (???). I tried restarting DBPro, Deleting the project file, deleting the EXE before compiling and deleting all files in the DBPro temp folder, but nothing worked... I COULD NOT CHANGE THAT STUPID SPELLING ERROR without using my Resource Hacker....... I even tried deleting everything in the "Edit Fileversion" dialog, but after recompiling nothing was changed....

This has only happened once though...

I also tried it on a quickly invented project and it doesn't happen however every single time I change the name of my current project to "FlyRoads" it stops recieving input. It's very strange.

I wonder if multiple files could be a contributing factor. Time for some more testing lol.

I had the problem before too. I think it's how the DBPro file is read when compiling. Whatever the case I had to delete the DBPro file and create a new one for my source. I never change the caption in the editor since, I just use the set window title command.

PneumaticDryll is right.
I know exactly what he is talking about.
I can get this bug by doing this...

Have something else running besides DBpro, even if it's Notepad.
Compile your DBpro code and let it start.
Exit out of the program and before DBpro pops back up, put in focus the other program running. ie. notepad or what ever.
Now go back to DBpro and try to compile.
You will get those errors.

Yes, but that's not the source of this specific problem. I've tested this twice: I start up my computer, open DBP, change the caption and run it and it doesn't work. However, if I don't change the caption and run it then it will work fine.
