I was wondering if there was a generic physics engine for DarkGDK.

I need it to work on a variety of hardware

You could use newton, PhysX or Havok, all of which are free fopr non-commercial use. I find PhysX the best, it has support for cloth and soft bodies, whihc is mor ethna newton, but is far easier to use than havok.
