Hiya,

We badly need someone to animate a snowball flying into the camera (and exploding in a snow-like manner) - it doesn't have to be very high res, but does need to be on a transparent background. This is paid work, if you know who I work for, you know who it's for

Email me if you can (and would like!) to do this please: richard.davey@aardman.com

Cheers,

Rich

Hmm... I SHOULD be able to do this. When do you need this done by? I'm fairly certain its within my abilities, I just don't know quite how long it'll take with my school/work/personal-project schedule... Is there a set deadline, and if so, when is it?

We need this quite quickly (within the next 10 days).

And yes, a transparent background (i.e. alpha channelled), not black. The snowball would be snow textured (so mostly white I guess!)

You work for Aardman animations?! Whoa! They're like the most awesome animation studio ever!

Ermm..regain composure...err....I haven't really got a decent 3D program that can simulate some particle effects like what you appear to need....

Aaaarrrrgggg. Why must you need this in 10 days? I'm doing an animation project for school right now. If your due date was in three/four weeks, I would totally do this. School keeps me so busy

I usually like to know the money before I accept any work

Maybe I should drop you a line to enquire anyway. I have done plenty of pro work within fairly short time frames, but I'm half doing some other work right now, and I've had a lot of little things pop up recently, and I don't like to commit to something unless I know I can do it in time

"I usually like to know the money before I accept any work"

I usually like to know a timescale before I agree to a budget.

Everyone else: Please email me (details in the first post), I won't accept anything based on a post in this forum, if you're serious about this you can spend 30 seconds contacting me.

Cheers,

Rich

I gave the time it was needed by, I didn't say how long it would take you to create, because that's something only you would know If you said "this will take 2 weeks and therefore cost XXX" I'd be able to make a call on it. If you said "this will take 2 days and cost XXX" that's a whole different situation.
