Hey all i was wondering if you know of any models or packs that i could purchase. I was looking for some gunrged and horror looking broken buildings. Interiors are a major plus. I searched here, 3d cafe, turbo squid and Google but couldn't find anything of interest. Just wondering oh plus if there is any other high quality horror packs can you please give me some info thanks.

PS: it would be nice if they where designed to easily import into Leadwerks.

Thanks.

$150?

Have you looked in the TGC Store? I though I saw a few good interiors in there...

Edit: Yep, a search for "buildings" turns up quite a few results.

I think I heard this will be a commercial project. If you're gonna have a big, commercial project you've got to have a large budget.

there are some building models on the torque site, one is a street pack, and the other has a load of ruins in a pack, forget its name, its in one of the bundel packs, you will have to look through them all to find it.

Well its not that we cant do it ourselvs its just we would rather pay then waste our time. I could texture i own photoshop and know how to use it well. Frankie owns 3dsmax2009 and can use it well so he can model and i can texture. Its just we have better things to do and work on then the buildings so ya.

Have you even seen how long games actually take to develop? 5 years is the common amount.

If you consider any part of your development cycle a waste of time, i have little faith in your aspirations for game dev.
The only point of people buying these models is to cut down on development time to hit a deadline, I can clearly figure out that you are a bedroom developer not working for any money so you don't need to hit a deadline.
If you create it yourself, that model and texture is entirely yours and customized to your specifications and colour palette, and there is a sense of acheivement in completing a model from scratch.

Um; actually no.... First we want to cut down development time for we do have an aimed release date of fall 09. 2) im probably one of the few people on this forum that does have a studio, yeah its pretty small but i do have a small commercial studio building...$350 per month just to let you know. So yeah im not really a bedroom developer.

Plus we edit all of the models (with permission) to have our own look to it.

Thanks though.

I am making some buildings. For free, in a pack.
But they are made for FPSC. And since you want them for Leadwerks...
I think i can export them to a compatible format.

Just one question though! (not trying to be rude, was just wondering)
For what do you need a studio? Do you have a huge team that is working on that game?
If so, than someone could easily make the models.
While the rest is focusing on the levels, concepts, programming etc.

And even than, you could easily do this at home. Or at least i think so.
While the others are at their home and you can just send files ideas by msn/hotmail.

Yeah if you really are renting this (quite underpriced) studio then you should have an inhouse modeller, or even consider hiring a freelancer to do this work.
If you are telling the truth then you should have significant income from this studio to afford to rent this out, if you work a 9-5 then there is practically no point in having another place to go to work on things.

At longest, it would take a good modeller and texturer a couple of days to make the exterior of a grungy building, how much is that really going to hamper your deadline. You should have budgeted in your schedule for things like this, or do you not have one apart from 'Fall 09'?

Well quit honestly i have the studio (which i share with another company being DuoBiz) because its a nicer more professional place to work, to be quit honest iv had it for about 8 months and i dont really need to keep paying for it so i could just go back to the house. But for now i like where im at.

The point i was trying to get across(and not in any malicious way) is that if you don't need it, you don't need to be paying for it. Seems like a bad investment on your part what with this credit crunch business, i'm sure someone else could use the space more wisely than yourself.
