I just wanted to know if anyone has succeeded in selling copies of their games made with FPS Creator, if not what do you think would be the best price, would you think a game which takes 2 or 3 years to make can make £30 plus, of course it has to be super brilliant for self developers.......

There have been many games sold with FPSC. But none for £30, that would be outrageous for a FPSC game. They have been sold for around £6.

Retro Gaming.

If you want money from fpsc, the best way to go is selling fpsc models.

So yes people have sold games and made profit, but from what I know its a long process.

The process ain't long at all if you advertise it yourself locally and burn your own CDs with the game on it.

I think it would be a good idea, as well as a great incentive to have an actual list of completed titles, being sold either by publisher or developer, and links to the games or where they can be purchased. I will start to compile one, and if anyone can help and list the ones they know here, that would be great.

I can think of Froggy Shootout and there were a couple by Benjamin I think, but I can't remember the names. Also Letters Kingdom (I think that's right).

Best.

Actually, Brian; I've been thinking of starting a new sticky in the Showcase section, just for titles are actually being sold (by publisher or developer) and have an actual website (completed titles only...which leaves ELE out for now).

Great, I think I want to put a section on fpsFREE as well. I think it would be a good tribute to those who actually completed a game and incentive to others as well. (Like the BOTB thing)

Game maker, yeah. I meant Benjamin A. Bad attitude, good skills. LOL

Didn't he do another one too? Was Spiderz a game or a comic book?

Best.

I saw a review for Anderson, and it got an appalling score of 16/100 in PC Zone, it was probably because they thought all FPSC Games would suck.
BTW is it legal to commercialise an fpsc game without an age rating?

Anderson did very good business making many times its dev cost, you dont have to sell 3 million copies at 30 pounds making 90 million at retail to be a good money making game, selling say, 10,000 at 30 pounds a unit will make close to a third of a million at retail, so one doesnt need to be a AAA title game to do well.

I started a thread about all the titles that have been sold, but had problems with it as I had mentioned the game Sex Station 7, so this really annoys me!!

Well then let's not mention that one, and we certainly won't provide any links to content that would breach forum rules.

Does anyone have a good link for Anderson & the Legacy of Cthulhu?

Best.

I have added all that I know of to fpsFREE.com in the free content section under Games. If the developers let me know, I will add them to the store as a link to their site. It's just more advertising.

Best.
