This is a WIP, just a basic mesh so far. One long road before its done. This is just how far I got today.

Alright, I had this idea yesterday for a character.
(yes I have his name, I will only give it when he's done ^^)

So I made a quick sketch of what I was thinking of...

Then I did my best to turn that into a 3d model.

This is my second attempt at a human, first one crashed and burned lol

Anyway this was made with blender, witch btw I haven't used in a long time.

Perhaps I should of started with something easier to refresh my memory, like a dog bowl or something lol

Ah well might as well strike while the iron is hot right?

I just hope I'm not biting off more I can chew, with any luck I will actually finish this one.

Wish me luck

She showed me her software so i pulled out my python

For a second attempt at a human, that's pretty darn good!
I'd suggest making him a bit wider at the shoulders. He looks a bit feminine at the moment with those shoulders.
And details like a sixpack are a bit hard to get looking right in geometry without too many polys. I'd suggest either just texturing it, or making a normal map (which might be a bit difficult to do).

The six pack could easly be reduced and youll probly get a better efect if you use the bevel or extude function, although some editing will still be required

Other than it being high poly, its looking very good for a second attempt

cheers cb

well I have one peace of advice and please don't take offense to it. restart. you need to look up the edge flow for a character. It looks nice and modeling humans are hard, but you will never be able to animate that or finish the face. but it is looking pretty good it jut that you wont be able to use it for anything.

Thanks for the comments,

I think I got carried away with the polys. The six pack was not intended for actual use, I just did it for fun.

More or less just a learning experience then anything else.

I had the thought of just restarting it last night, starting real low poly then adding in details as needed.

Hard thing to do after spending so much time on it.

I didnt think he looked like a girl lol, but my brother said the same thing.

Oh well time for a restart then.

She showed me her software so i pulled out my python

in order to be as good as the pro you will be restarting an awful lot. but don't worry about it, you'll improve your skills.
