Well I'm still ate it working on my fighting game. While looking up some information on other games I notice that nowadays a good fighting game can use anywhere from 10 to 50k polys per character. So I started to remodel a girl i mad a long time ago and see if I can get close to their quality of work. right now she is around 5k but I will take her to around 15k. At the moment I think that she is to muscler and her butt needs some serious work to it, but I still wanted to know what you guys though.

looks ok but the first few things i noticed:

*Bad seam between her breasts
*Kneecaps and Feet need SERIOUS work
*will you really need all that detail on the breasts and bum? I'm assuming she will have clothes on so you don't need to have it all modeled in detail unless she's wearing, like, super-tight lycra spandex or something

I haven't started the feet yet. tier just blocks and the seem between the chest will vanish when I merge the two parts together. and I'm planing on using real time cloth if I can pull it off, so you will see some of the breast and torso through the shirt. strangely enough I'm still refining the concept art, but I'll upload it tonight.

She is looking well. I know in SOul Calibur 4 the models were extremly high poly. Remember, if you are going to make the game with DBPro to conserve polies were you can because it cannot run at the fps that unreal engine 3 can run at. Best luck to you.

true, but at the moment I'm working on a graphics demo not the full game. I'm trying to fiquire out just how hi I can go with out going to high. I'm pretty much going to animate her from a neutral pose, and apply various shaders to her and check the frames per second. and just play around with the poly count and the shaders until i get the quality I wont with out sacrificing performance.

Other than that, shes pretty good...she needs some arms though(although i bet you noticed that)

15000 Polygons? That's way overkill, you could make that same result with a 3k mesh and a proper normal map.

perhaps but I was planning on adding more detail, and actually adding real time cloth plus her hair. right now she 5 k and I can optimize it. once i finish her arms and feet i will optimize it and I can probably finish at 5500 thats with all fingers. from their I'm going to try to use dark physic or extc. to do real time cloth, I can animate cloth in 3d studio max but I want it t be real time. Plus she is for a fighting game so 15k for her 15 k for an opponent is only 30k. That still leaves me with alot of polygons to play with.

I have a small update on here. i'm more along the lines of just trying to get here made and sexy, i don't think i will be using her she need some more optimization but I want to see just how pretty I can make her.

she got hit with the whole friggan tree

nah she looks good as much a 3d model can (without any arms)at this anyway stage
