Hey,

I'm using DBPro with the latest patch for both the engine and the IDE. Ok, the commands seem pretty straight forward.

Make object sphere 1, 10
texture object 1, 1
set object x, 1, 0, 1

and all black areas of the texture should not be rendered right? I've played with the ghost object, the fade object, the set object transparency, and even went so far as to try an image that was all black. I'm not getting any sort of transparency on the object at all. I'm using a Geforce4 TI4600, so I'm pretty sure that my video card supports alpha blending... So, Whassup? Has anyone gotten transparency to work? This is a pretty important command!!!! HELP!

I don't think it works that way with 3D objects. with a sprite the black areas will be transparent. Or what ever the colorkey is set too. Having black in a texture will just paint black in that area.

But I also haven't had any luck in making an object the whole object transparent or shadowing without a crash. But then again I'm using the demo version cause my full version has not arrived yet

Works for me! Your problem is because the help for SET OBJECT is wrong!

The 'transaparent' flag should be set to 1, not 0

That doesn't work either... I set it to either 1 or 0 and still get a black sphere! Is there something I have to set first????
