Hi everyone,

Is it possible to make a darkGDK/VS2008 executable run on Vista? When my friend tries to run the executables I make on XP, he gets "not a valid win32 app."

I wanted to check if one of us was doing something wrong or if we are just out of luck.

Thanks!

So what are you having problems with? Building in Vista and passing to XP or running on Vista?

As far as I am aware, the .exe files should run fine on both. I run XPSP3 and run executables without a problem. I'm sure I've seen a post on here recently where a dev said they were running VistaSP1 after building upon XPSP2, so I would presume so.

Post some code, lets see if we can figure it out.

I tried out Mahoney's suggestion and changed

Project Properties->C/C++->Code Generation->Runtime-Library->Multi-Threaded(Debug)

to

Project Properties->C/C++->Code Generation->Runtime-Library->Multi-Threaded

and it worked perfectly! Thanks a lot for the tip!
