Since I am soon developing those packs I had you guys spend your time voting on (located here), I've decided to practice my texturing skills and make sure they are up to par with 'average'

Here's some texture practice for a sword.

I know that there is an ugly seam at the handle. Other then that, I guess the texture did not turn out too bad. Without the render you would see the crap that it actually is

Any advice on the texture or model? I used MilkShape 3D, LithUnwrap, and Photoshop CS3.

If you guys want the model I'll release it for free.

Thanks,
Xeno

I've pretty much said everything on MSN but that a few critiques I have is that you can't really see what material the handle is made out of, which is a important part of every texture.
It looks pretty good man.

Thanks guys. I think I'll completely redo this texture and try again, keeping what Alucard said in mind

Btw... there was absolutely no plastic wrap used in this texture
