Hy guys, i am programming in c++ for 2 months now, and i decided to start developing games... now i have problems at writing my first game, when i try to compile, the VS cant find the d3dx9.h header file. I read on a nother forum that Directx 9 SDK must be downloaded, and that i did, but it sill doesnt work, and you sure must know whats wrong

Did you do things in order?

Install the compiler, run once.
Install d3dx9.
Install Dark GDK.

BTW, downloading is not the same as installing. Did you actually go through the d3dx9 install process?

I'm not a programmer but I play one in the office

Did you make reference for the direct x lib? That can cause that your compiler cant find it.
