I did this

1) Microsoft's Visual C++ 2008 Express

2) August 2007 DirectX 9.0c SDK

3) Download Dark GDK (Click here for Microsoft download page)

Once those files are downloaded please follow our installation guide.
Upgrades

1) Upgrade for Dark GDK - released November 2008

then run the DARKBASIC GDK Terrain then It say

1>------ Build started: Project: Terrain, Configuration: Debug Win32 ------
1>Compiling...
1>Main.cpp
1>c:windowstutorialsterrainterrainmain.cpp(5) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'DarkGDK.h': No such file or directory
1>Build log was saved at "file://c:WINDOWSTutorialsTerrainTerrainDebugBuildLog.htm"
1>Terrain - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
========== Build: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped ==========

@Hotshot,
You missed out a step:
1b) Start up the Visual C++ editor.

You can either add the library/include directories manually as indicated by john, or reinstall the DirectX SDK and the GDK and let those installers do it for you.
