Hello everyone! I'm working on an animation project for my semester final this term, and wanted to show you the model I have made for part of my scene. This was done in 3DSM with a texture map of 2048. All textures used where found on cgtextures.com and modified in color and cropped for my use. Other aspects of the scene are still under development. There will be grass and such when all is said and done. When I'm done with the project, I'll be sure to post it up.

There are a few edits to texture I have yet to make. For instance, beware of dog is probably going to be on a sign post next to it, and the Spike name tag is off somehow... I'll need to figure out something different.

I know, believe me. It feels even better when your work sucks.

(Not saying your work sucks, though, it's awesome!)

Haha, that's only part of the design. You can't see it, but structurally these shingles are attached to a plate that is connected to the actually roof of the dog house (which is white). Naturally it can get hot inside of a dog house, so imagine their being a vent that is shielded by the roof, and is protected by water falling through the small gap at the top (hot air rises) by a long diagonal beam that channels the water out the back.

You can see the small gap and the actual roof of the dog house better here:

It's executed flawlessly! Looks really great. Love the cartoonish look.

Nice man...
Also it's kinda... Blurry? Have you got you're rendering filter on Catmull-rom?
Anyway I love the cartoon look of it.

Blurry? Huh, I'm not seeing it. It might just be that these are just screenshots, and not actual jpg's saved from the render.

I'm not using V-Ray. This was actually done with scanline. I plan on switching over to the better and fast mental ray sooner, but I only knew how to do the soft shadows thing with scanline.
