Hi. Can you make puzzles in the game with FPS X10? What I mean is how you have to do a series of things like pull levers, drop bridges, active or destroy certain items in the game inorder to advance to the next level. If anyone knows I'd appreciate the help. Thinking of purchasing. Thanks.

Uthink, I think he wants to know how!

And you can probably do it with scripting, although I'm not sure how.

You can use trigger zones to make it so that if you step on like a button (like in Zelda or Portal or something), the animation of the button going down plays and something else happens too, door opens or whatever. Or else you press a switch, and the switch entity is scripted to make the door open when used (I don't know how to do any of that, but I know that it's doable. Play around with it )

The how depends 100% on what puzzle do you want.

- You can have a puzzle where based on exploring a map you see signs that have clues and then you need to answer a question.

- You can have a puzzle just to get out of a room where you have to stack items in just the right sequence to reach a vent for escape.

- You can have a puzzle requiring you to rewire an alarm system. Do it wrong and it blows up.

All of those puzzles have different ways of doing them. Some require scripting, some do not. Some might require custom entities, others don't. First decide what you want the puzzle to be. Then search the boards and see if anyone has done anything similar. Then try making it. When you get stuck, ask for help, but be sure to share what you've done so far.
