I want to keep playes from looking at my .jpg and .avi files. So that the only way they can see them is by playing the game. How do I do this?

Use the inbuilt pack with media (but that apparently decompresses into a temporary directory), OR use the ZIP utility (or my RAR one) and unpack into memory (the ZIP one may not have this ability). However, for the last two, a temporary file MAY be created.

The only problem with unpacking into memory is - how do you get the images out ??

Use the encrypt media button. All other methods *can* be breached but the encrypt attached media thing is done internally in DBPro and I haven't found a way past it yet. That's not to say i've invested much time but the point is the other methods are easily by-passed.

I've been playing with the idea of my own encryption. There's nothing to stop you loading a file into a memblock in dbpro, and messing with all the numbers from start to finish with your own algorithm. Then when your program starts, it decrypts the files by running them through a reverse version of the algorithm.

I'm not suggesting it's better than using the encrypt option on dbpro - it's just an alternative, and might be interesting to look into.

How do you unpack into memory? Ive used packfiles before, and just extracxted all the files to a temp directory, then deleted them once the program ended, but I never knew you could unpack directly to memory. Also you say dbpro has built in media encryption commands? What are they and how do they work?
