Yes, You need to have Portal to play Prelude. They aren't allowed to re-release most all of the media, so they use the media that comes with Portal.

Go grab Portal off Steam while it's still $5!!!

Well - I got Portal while it was £2.99. I'm glad I didn't pay more for it.

Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic concept and very well put together. But I wouldn't want to pay full price for a game that takes about 3 or 4 hours to complete. For me, that's a bonus game packaged with a bigger title.

I thought it was a great game that stood on it's own right. I'd be happy to pay 20 bucks for it. I wouldn't pay 60 bucks though, then again, I wouldn't buy any game for 60 bucks

I take it you don't own a console, then, Jerico?

If you compare Portal's size to HalfLife2 then there's no comparison. But as I've played through HL2 on 2 formats already I bought Orange Box for the TF2 and HL2 add ons. Thing is though, I got the most enjoyment out of Portal, only wish it was bigger. As a bonus game it's second to none, Orange Box as a collection is a crazy bargain. Valve must be the most generous developers out there, they often include extras and they're always great.

Left4Dead on the 360 doesn't seem to have any extras though, not that it really needs anything, they might make up for that with downloadable content in the future though.

*Hijack*

Speaking of orange box are there any tf2 players out there? My xbox went out six months ago and now I've just gotten one yesterday and I'm looking for some gamers out there that I may already know (so so sooo helpful in tf2 because of teamwork)

Anyways just wondering

I used to play Team Fortress 2 until I got Left 4 Dead. Still one of the most awsome multiplayer games there is, though. I am just someone who plays one game at a time.

i always wanted to play Prey multiplayer but no one is on. that was another cool game with portals. not as cool as Portal but same concept, same fun. Prey was underrated though unfortunately.

If at first you dont succeed, call it version 1.0.

Yeah, loved that game. Only problem is, I cannot play it anymore because of some problem with the CD .

Nope. but when I did, I didn't pay 60 bucks a game I always got the game many months after it was released ^.^

Used console games run 40 bucks though, and I'm happy paying that.

Anyway, I'm all PC nowadays, so most games start off at about 40

I played a little bit of Prey multiplayer, it was fun, but as you said, barely anyone uses it. Prey was a bit under rated, I loved it, It had a good design and it kept my interest, the ending seems to strongly suggest a Prey 2 (or as I seemed to interpret), I wonder if they'll make it?

My god! I'm nearly at the end! HA HA! VICTORY IS MINE! This is probably my favorite game of all time! The rat man dens are quite freaky though, and gets quite freaky at the end too...

Sadly, I haven't got round to playing Prey yet, as I'm right in the middle of Assassin's Creed at the moment. I may play it some day, but my mum and dad have issues about me playing 18s. I can if I beg them, but I really can't be bothered.

You're in for a treat! One of my favorite endings of all time, and it's basically just a song....but what a song!

Played the Prey demo about a year ago. It was good, pretty dramatic stuff. I oughta buy it, since it's usually about a fiver.

83% of women tested found Pus in Boots irresistable. (Based on a survey of 172 women.)

Nice, I'm allowed to post a year late! Ohh, and I did play Portal at my friend's house. I'm terrified of computer water, so I noclipped the second level
