I think this year has had some very great benefits for dark basic users. I mean with the freeware release of programs like truespace and character fx and then having other freeware programs like deled lite and VanB's tersculpt the common user no longer needs to worry about pouring hundreds of dollars into decent modeling/animation/world building software for their dark basic projects. Which I think is great

Not to mention that since character fx is freeware. Programs that don't have animation support such as Wings 3d become even more useful.
I've only been using character fx for about a week and so far I think it is the absolute easiest animation program I've ever used.
what took me hrs in other programs took me virtually no time at all in CFX. 1 of the main things I am happy with is that I was able to finally rig a skeleton to one of my car models and set it up within dark physics Properly without any effort at all Huge bonus.

I've rigged a character and tree as well all with ease and all works very well.

The point of this was just for me to show a couple models that I have been working on. And to point out that they were made in what is now freeware for those who Wonder. And For those who were like myself Frustrated by spending hrs upon hrs trying to get their models to properly animate. They now have a very good alternative for animation.
I can show my models too can't I?
Personally I think having threads like this one are very useful. They help point some people in a direction were they are not making threads and asking questions like what modeler/animation program should I use? which of course annoy such people as like yourself lol.
