So this is my first model - a dagger made in Wings3d.

(Blank) UV Mapping:

I was just looking for some C&C before I tried to texture it. Anyone see something that they think needs tweaking?

Also, does anyone know a program that I could use to smooth out some of the faces again? The program I used to unwrap it kind of recalculated the normals...

Thanks,
Jeff

Thank you.

I'm trying to texture it now, but I really need to find a way to smooth out some of the edges. Does anyone know of a program that I can use to select edges and blend the corresponding normals?

Thanks,
Jeff

Haha, I got it. I can change whether the edges are smooth or sharp using Maya.

Though for some reason, when I imported my already made model, all the faces became double-sided, and changing the edges to smooth/sharp made no change at all.

So I remade the model in Maya, resulting in it being much smoother. Now I can get back to texturing it.
