could anyone give me some help please i would like to be able to make plugins for dark gdk .

I know you need a header with the functions in and a lib but thats as far as it goes .

How do you make the lib, is it just the lib which is produced by the visual c++ when you build a dbpro plugin or do you need to add different code ?

Ok i`ve managed to do most of it by making a header with the function listings and using the lib generated by the project i used to make the db pro dll, but when i use it in a gdk project it asks for the dll i made .

it works if you add it to the project folder but i just want to use the lib and header ,how do you go about this..

edit: never mind, i`ve fixed it, you just set the output to a static lib instead of a dll and it seems to work fine .

You don't build a DLL, you build a static library. DBPro DLL's and the GDK are NOT compatible, and they won't work together.

Open your project properties->Configuration Properties->General and set Configuration Type to Static Library.
