Dark GDK / Dark GDK Help "Cannot open include file 'DarkGDK.h'"

Hi, this is probably a simple question but i am new to c++ / dark GDK.

I followed the installation guide and then the getting started pdf it the tutorials folder. However when i try to "Start Debugging" i get the following error (See attached picture)



What have i done wrong?
I get the same error when i try to compile the examples.

Did you follow it exactly? Did you start Visual C++ BEFORE installing DarkGDK?

Could be the directory settings:
Go to tools->Options->Project and Solutions->VC++ directories.

Change "Show directories for" to Include files.
Doubleclick in a new row and browse to where the Dark GDK includes are.
Do the same for library files if you get a similar error for them.

Swordsman: I think so, i definitatly ran visual c++ but I can't remember if i ran it as an admin (I'm using vista)... Would that cause a problem? If so how do i fix it? Reinstall everything?

CPPP: I gave that a shot, but it still gives the error. I browsed to here: "C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\Dark GDK\Include" which is a folder containing all the .h files including darkgdk.h

Hmm a bit of progress, CPPP i managed to follow your instructions sucessfully this time (i tried again must have missed something sorry) However i now get the following error:

Hmm i have fixed that, but keep getting problems with new files not being found, i am going to reinstall dark gdk, will let you know if it helps

Just reinstalled Dark GDK it's been fixed Thanks for all your help guys CPPP in particular i'm sure that information will help me in the future
