Any way to implement this? I was thinking perhaps a DLL and have it called upon when an action is performed.

Not without a rewrite of the source code. I suppose it might be something which could go in Ply's mod but it depends on whether enough people want it. ie; How many people have actually got joysticks to play FPSC with?
