I am taking to the whole aspect of FPS creator and loving it. My question is what am I doing wrong that when I make a wall and put a door in it, I open the door and what do ya know the wall is behind it. I am proberbly making a typical NOOB mistake. Please advise so I can correct my ways.

IF it can be done on a computer I'll try it.

Doors can only be placed in full segment walls not just segment / entity walls by themselves.

Select or create a segment with the textures you want then you can place a door on any one of the 4 walls or press the 'm' key to enter paint only segment walls mode to place a wall by itself where a door is required.

Doors use CSG punching to carve a hole through a surrounding mesh and only full segments are designed to allow for this. There's a command 'CSG Immune = 0' you can try using for the wall your trying to use. Put this in the walls .fpe / .fps and it might work. If not just use the previous method.

Welcome to the Forum.

I think your problem is that you are using Entities instead of Segments. Look for the door that are under the Segments Tabs. Those punch through the wall the Entities don't. Look at the picture added.

I'm glad you enjoyed a page on Constructive Solid Geometry. If you can enjoy that, I'm sure you can enjoy just about anything.

Ever tried watching paint dry? That's awesome.
