So now I have used Silos trial for about 24 days and I really love it so should I buy Silo core or pro versions

Check that out and see if you can spare the extra 50 bucks for what only looks like extra displacement options. I'd say go for pro if you have the money for it. You'll end up needing some of the options sooner or later.

Go with the pro version. The extra UV options are worth the extra cash. Also upgrading from core to pro is more expensive than justing going to the pro version.

Also the price at the monment is for xmas the crossed out price is the price it will be afterwards.

The book thats just come out is good but half way it starts talking about mudbox and other programs which are good if your not using other ones.

I'll add something later on.

One of the pro features is exporting UVs to an image, and if you're planning on doing any game modeling that's a must-have.
