am I right in my belief that when creating a console application you cannot use the DarkGDK namespace.

For example when using a windows form application I can use the command

But if I want to achieve the same in a console app I must use the command

Maybe I'm wrong, but if that is the case you lose all of the nice functionality of the .net classes.

If this is true, ithis something that could be addressed in the future?

EDIT - I have since discovered the you can use the command

to get around this. However I'm not sure how to emulate the DBPro windowed fullscreen mode. I'm working on it.

EDIT - This code seems to do it.

Now trying to stop the console appearing when I start up the application.

Why not use pure VB.net for your console app?

If your wanting to change the background color of the console just use:
Imports Win32.Kernel32.ConsoleColor

Or are you saying that you cant use other resources when using the GDK?

Sorry,

I realised after looking at the examples that they were still windows apps just with no forms. My mistake. Thanks for the responses.
