Recently i have herd that when you use doors it separates the level so it doesn't have to render the hole level but my question is is it better to use trigger zones to spawn doors or spawn them at the beginning so they will separate the level.

Spawn at beginning. FPSC fails at culling quite often, so any doors to break up levels are good.

Also, I didn't think you could spawn doors...though I've never tried...

well i can never tell because i never turned spawn at start and spawn after delay on without the trigger zone placed.

Doors don't slow the game down. (Not really, anyway.)

What you heard was that doors don't hide what's behind them from rendering. The best way to overcome this is to place some kind of hallway in between rooms with high polygon counts.
