Dark GDK / Can NOT load 3ds or mdl objects

I try to load build1.3ds from the dark gdk sample files. but it isn't appear in my screen

the I try to load a model from www.hiveworkshop.com, convert it to .mdl then load it with dark GDK, I got memory exception error.

then I try to convert build1.3ds to .x file, It works.

what I did wrong?
