Looks pretty good, There are a few unnecessary edge loops, but it looks great. Needs to be rounded off from being boxy though.

Thanks. I tried using bevel but it just messes it up. I'm not sure how to go at it manually.

Haha, thanks. It's mainly just that awesome shader that makes mine look awesome, though.

Heh, so all those polies are just from a parallax shader or something?

Here's the gun with a texture:

NOTE: I did not draw the texture, it's from a photograph.

You keep posting renders from the side, pan the view over a bit to show us some of the frontal pats.

I must say that the texture looks like it's painted even though it's from a pic, VERY impressive...

Best.

That's because I can't texture to save my life and I haven't drawn anything over the front, back, top, and bottom. So only the left and right sides have a texture, sadly.

Thank you. Unfortunately since the image is from a reference I don't really have any rights to sell the model, assuming I did finish the texture.

Glad you like it. I need to start modeling a new gun...but with Christmas I have been very busy and haven't been around here much.

That's what I thought, you need to rely less on photographs and more on your handmade art. It's hard but practice and you will score.

I want to learn, I just can't imagine how to start. I uploaded a UV map of the gun made with seams for the left and right sides, and I can't make any sense of it.

Hm... You are quite correct there my friend... I belive being able to identify the different parts of your model is quite important, so I sadly have to say that I think you should redo the UV. Have one:

You should just be able to select the vertices, and then they will light up on the UV map in the UV window. That's how it works for Blender, anyway.

Seems like you just made a automatic map on that, you need to learn how to uv map yourself. Try to google for tutorials.
