I would like to suggest the additon to z depth to the sprites used in 2d games. That way when sprites are drawn to the screen they have a set z depth associated with them. It is tough learning curve to realize that you cannot use dbText to write text on top of sprites drawn to the screen. You have to past them and then you have to managed the order you paste them in. Much easier if each sprite has a fictional z depth from 0 to 100 associated with it.

Any ideas on how I can send an idea like that to the developers?

Thank you

Have you looked at dbSetSpritePriority()? The only thing you have to deal with is the scaling, if that's important to your cause.
