Dark GDK uses DirectX, which is only for Windows. You can therefore only make games for Windows using it. If you're interested in console development, XNA is cross-platform (Windows/Xbox 360) but much harder to learn and use.

My site, for various stuff that I make.

Actually, DirectX is what the Xbox 360 runs. Just, the architecture is different, and it'd be stupid to seeing as the 360 has D3D10, and the GDK is only D3D9.

That's not quite accurate. The XBox 360 does not run DirectX 10, but runs a highly modified version of DirectX 9. It is not a straight port. Unless TGC wants to port it to the 360, and you are all willing to eat the cost of a developers license for the 360 (to clarify, everyone who intends to develop for the 360 would need a dev license. This is well over ten grand each.), you won't be the GDK for developing 360 games.

That all said, if you DO what to write games for the 360 you should look into XNA. It's not very complicated and there is plenty of material on how to use the system, including a great number of starter projects.

Actually you can make games for the Xbox360 and sell it on Xbox Live Community Games. You just need to subscribe to the XNA Creators Club which, IIRC is like $100 a year or something. Then you can make games with XNA and C#.

XNA Stinks - It's limited to xbox360 hardware specs - even on PC. Revolt I tell you! Revolt! I prefer the old analog pong game with the paddles...
