FPSC Classic Product Chat / Updates, uninstall 1st one? Does it matter?

I have the original FPSC that came on a CD (I think it is 1.06 or 1.07). When there is an update, I download that and install it (over the original one). I am on 1.13 right now.

Does it matter whether you install the update while you have the original installed or should you uninstall the one from the CD fully and just install the update?
