Any ideas? I'm trying to use vs2005 because I have the pro version with resources etc.

Try removing the .ncb file and the contents of the Release & Debug folders.

I'm not sure what to suggest - maybe reinstall the GDK.
Have you tried compiling in both debug and release mode? Does it make any difference when you do?

Thank You for asking - I tabled that effort for now and just reverted to vs2008... Gosh I hate using a limited compiler - but the cost is CRAZY. vs2005 already paid for is all...

I'll try again another time - just busy as all get out.. you know how it is...

I do remember that Mike once had one of the express edition compilers working under an earlier Visual Studios - can't remember which versions though.

You could try it yourself - take the express edition compiler, libs and includes and drop them into the relevant places in the Visual Studio folders. The worst thing that can happen is that you'd need to reinstall Visual Studio, and you never know, it might just work.

I had a problem like this once when using SMFL. I had switched to a new compiler and it appears that the libs are created differently between versions. I can't remember if the author provided a newly compiled library or if I had access to the source and recompiled the libs myself. I think it was the latter.

Thankx for the reply Lilith - OUCH though - I can't expect to get TGC to recompile this stuff for vs2005 with vs2008 being the "current" thing So Sad.

I've been pondering how to buy vs2008 pro - you see normally it wouldn't be that big a deal but in the past month (my xmas goodies one might say) was me puchasing LeadWerks, Ultimate Unwrap 3D and a few others - and - well.. lol - I'm on a software buying "chill out" period LOL

[edit] Not to mention the DarkGDK.Net product[/edit]

eBay has vs2008 for $117 on up. That's where I went to get my 2005.

Also, in retrospect, I believe when I ran into that problem it was because I updated 2005 to a higher service pack. I found it strange that there would be a format change between service packs but it could happen. I suspect that higher versions recognize the lower versions but if a lower version looks at a higher version lib it considers it corrupted.

Makes sense about the lib conflicts - thanx for the eBay tip - I might do that or wait until my Wife returns to school next month and have her buy it or something....
