Version 1.0
Light Lock

Another quick PA from Soharix, this was a game I decided to make in a day (the last day of 2008 as a matter of fact) and took me probably no more than 2 hours.

It is a simple concept-based game with no story or purpose other than to function as a game where you can test the following:
1. Your hand-eye coordination
2. Your knowledge of the spectrum (yipee)
3. Your brain's processing speed

This game could also be done in pretty much any language and I may find myself coding it in my spare time in my computing lessons at college where we're learning Visual BASIC... (and by we're learning I mean, they're learning because it took me all of 1 lesson to learn it)

Anyway, here are some screenshots:

And the game can be downloaded here:

Have fun, and post your scores.

Version 1.1
<Sniff>
No one cares about my terrible master piece.

Heh, understandabley, it's new year and it's a terrible PA.

Nevertheless, for the sake of making it better I made version 1.1 which is windowed and had some tweaks to make it a slightly better game.

Version 1.2
Now it looks like this:

Anyway, here are some screenshots:

Version 1.2 is a graphical improvement for those of you put off by the fact the original used nothing more than 2D draw commands and print.

Version 1.3

A graphical improvement again on the sprites as I forgot to turn the texture flag off when loading images in version 1.2, and I made them look nicer too.

As usual the game can be downloaded here:

I can't say it was that fun of a game to play but I don't think you expected it to be anyway. Although the graphics are pretty good for not having media. Are you still updating this I have some small ideas for polish and such. Anyway congrats on completing another project(I really need to get back to Pro Racer).

@ DB PROgrammer
Lol, you're correct, the game isn't supposed to be fun. It is supposed to be challenging, and the later versions have media. xD

And I'll be updating it when I get back into the swing of the year so you can post your ideas for polish if you like. (Baring in mind that eventually I'll probably end up doing a 3D version of Light Lock.)

How is the timer messed up?

(By the way, it isn't counting in any recognisable interval, it just counts.)

That's a very good point.

I deleted the .rar from the site, forgetting it was linked to here.

I shall re-upload it.

EDIT:
There we go, all done.
