Does anyone know if Poser 7 is viable for creating my characters and to be able to import them into DBP without texture, animation problems? Anyone have experiences with it? Or a better and affordable alternative?

I can't find anything on the website right off as far as .x exporting, which is what you're looking for. I would suggest getting a free/cheap program like Blender or Milkshape, or any of these.
