Hello,

Can you tell me why only the normals are visible in darkbasic, on my plane with a 2 SIDED MATERIAL?

I'm using 3ds max and both sides are visible on render. This has to be a darkbasic issue ...

Thanks!

You have to turn off culling for those faces.

Rap music: my favorite oxymoron.

What Venge said. The 2 sided property of a 3DS Max material is not exported with the file (I don't believe it would be supported by any format). The only real material parameter that really exports to DB are the diffuse (texture). I'm not sure specular or emissive even export.
So you'll have to disable backface culling yourself using the SET OBJECT CULL command

Thank you Venge,
I have. It's not working.

Blob, Are you saying if I disable backface culling in darkbasic, it will work?

Yes because back face culling just lefts you see through the side of a plane or polygon that is opposite of the one the normal is pointing out of. It's there to make sure that, lets say, if your working on a level and you leave it that you can look into it and see if your lighting is ok, or other things.

You will be dearly missed.
