Hi folks,
I have hit a wall. I have a fully textured (shade) model that was created in Carrara 6. I can export the model to a .X format but im confused at what to do with the textures??

I see things like this all over the net:

I understand thats its a UV map but i dont know how to get one for the model i have?? i use the entity maker to import my model but obviously its un-textured. when i do export my model i can export the shaders to .TGA files, which i understand FPSC uses, but they are not applied to my model?? am i missing something somewhere?

any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

You need to, eeh, UV Map your model. Search for tutorials on the case on google and I'm sure you'll find someone more experienced than me talk about it, basically, it's unfolding the mesh onto a "2D plain" I guess you could say.

FPSC is using a placeholder entity instead of your model. Check the .fpe(using notepad) and look for the line"model = " or something like that. then you have to make sure that the model is in that folder or is named the same as in that line of the .fpe.
