What codec did you use? It says that Quicktime needs additional software to play it. Can you encode it in m4v format?

Nice work mate. You can reduce the avi size using windows movie maker.

AVI is a huge file type. You might just want to consider using MPEG encoding, or MPEG2. They are both very small, an the quality is not affected nearly as much as other lighter types.
