3 Dimensional Chat / Milkshape Inquiry: Character repeatedly sinks into 'ground' between key-frames

I had a question about Milkshape. I've been using Fragmotion to import FPSC entity files into Milkshape was suggested to me in another thread, and I am attempting to add more motions onto the end of the pre-programmed animations.

My problem is: my character repeatedly 'sinks' into the ground and then back up, in an almost bobbing motion, between keyframes. I attempted to compensate for this manually by making each frame a keyframe and using the 'MOVE' tool to shift back up to the ground myself, but the problem is, this seems to shift the entire variety of animations, making all of the animations that were correct (such as the pre-programmed ones of the character standing) lift off of the ground and float. Also, when I need to compensate a great deal (this is all in the Y direction), it distorts the mesh.

I presume I am doing something wrong... Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? The Milkshape 'Help' file itself seems to have little to offer. Thank you very much. This forum has been very helpful thus far. Details are appreciated.

you'll have to grab the root joint and move that one.
