rite now i have some ripped mario peices and im just cutting and pasting into my map any better way?

Yes - I'll bet by now, you have posted many duplicate areas over and over. In addition, you'll probably also hit limits on the size of the bitmap you can paste in to.

The solution is to use a tile-based system. Find a tiled map editor (eg Tile Studio or something similar) and use one of those instead.

BTW, if you ever decide to release your game, you'll need to replace the graphics - Nintendo is very protective of their Mario 'IP' and you don't want to be sued.

thanks very much.

and yes i would get in alot of trouble with them if i did that but they are just place holders for now

so i havn't played with this really but what all can this program do? the site doesn't have a lot to look at exept for news. i see you can you some coding but i'm not sure what for or if it is supported in dbc.

also what does it export to and how do you import it???? i'm confused how you would use this in dbc?

It's the first part of what I was hoping would be an RPG tutorial, and it goes over exporting TileStudio maps and importing them into DBP (it'll probably work with DBC as well).

Ok i read the part about exporting it but it exports in a gm file? how would i use that?

oh k well i read through it (all the way now.) its not going to work with darkbasic as dbc doesn't use types and things like globals and calling variables as intergers or strings and and stuff so that would be a difficult transition :/ lol thanks though i kinda see how everything works with it i might be able to pull something together idk. yours helped though i didn't know how it even workd so that did't help
