Hi

Ive spent the past weeks filling my brain with tons of tutorials, now i am working on a sci-fi dropship.

The back section and wing are complete, i am currently adding the wing clamp, and mirroring the mesh. I need to work on the front section a lot but i want to get this part done first

Note: This is not my concept, it is an already built model. Also, i used some tutorials for parts of the model i could not do, about 3. Thanks

Would love some c&c

Thanks

I Like how the model is coming along but I think that the cockpit could use more creativity. Seems a little Basic.

Look pretty neat, a little too many random extrusions in my opinion, but each to their own.

Looks good, You should place a few omni lights and lower the intensity so we can see the interior better. you also should add some gun racks or something attached to the roof for soldiers to hang onto if its crowded.

Show me more!

Could use some hanging pipes, landing gear or even some weapons on the sides of the cockpit.

Zuka, calm down with the pointless posts, you're sounding really immature and frankly pretty annoying.

The dropship looks pretty good so far, although I have to agree about the over-usage of random extrusions. As long as you take the time to texture the extrusions properly so they look like they have function, instead of just using a consistent metallic texture all around the ship, they should be fine.

looks good so far. my only crique is the same as everyones to many random extusions

if you dont already

try to make a commpound save, so everytime you save the model it as a number after it, so say

dropship
dropship01
dropship02
ect

this will probably help if you mess up and only realise untill it too late or youv fnished, it helped me alot,

max has a option to do it automatically.

cheers cb

Materials-wise, make the glass look pretty ^_^.

Model-wise, I'd say any more detail and I'ma kill you. Btw, what is the poly count so far?

the poly count is around 180,000. Yep i know, its collosal, but it doesnt really matter for me as the model was just to pass the time and improve my skills

You have done a great job on this model. I see you have made a few changes from the tutorial http://www.3d-palace.com/forum/local_links.php?catid=39 maybe some mention of the 3d palace tutorial would be nice as they produce quite a few really nice ones there for free there.

Okay, well i will admit some things, i used a couple of the tutorials form there on parts i couldnt do, or thought were better, i also used reference images below. All in all i used about 3 of them. But i will post it anyways.

Dude, you really shouldn't take full credit for something that was made using a tutorial, in the end it just makes you look bad. It was a good model, and it still would have been if you said in the first place, but you have lost my respect.
