I ordered one of the FPS Creator model packs. When I load a .X model, I do not get the texture.

I edited the .X file and there is no filename for the texture.

Is there another DGDK I should be calling?

TIA

If its one texture per model - cake - just load as image and texture it. Otherwise - No ideas - I find those kinds of texturing issues tough. Binary direct.x files are another cause of whoa.

ok, here is the answer to my own question (I think), so if anyone knows anything better, please let me know.

One would assume that rock_1.x would use rock_1.bmp as the texture, well WRONG!!! It uses rp_rock1tex.jpg !!!

In the folder, there is a .fpe file (it is text), using notepad, open that file and discover the texture. In this case a line textured = rp_rock1tex.jpg

Just load the .X object, load the image and texture the object.

Hope this works for the rest of the pack and others that I may buy.

the picture rock_1.bmp is just so you can see what "rock_1" is. As you found out
