Stop modeling cardboard.

Remember those old guys? They made epic renders, I think one of them was called DaVinci, and all they used was MS Paint. Sometimes it's just skill....

I do agree, try to get a reference from another angle and give it some depth.

But the shape is good so far, but make the front (the rigid bit you hold ) a bit shorter.

Keep at it.

That's not what we're talking about Quik, our point was that your model is a cardboard cutout, a completely flat model.

Quote: "That is a "cardboard cutout" as people tend to like to call them, basically, they're too flat on the sides of the model, I do realize that guns are pretty flat but not that flat, try adding a bit more dimension to the model by maybe scaling up/down some of the model parts in the x axis to make it look a bit more interesting and add a few bevels. That's an easy way to make a pretty good looking mesh.

The first one is still quite cardboard-y, but the second one is nice .

Edit: BTW, what's up with the end of the stock? It looks like there are a bunch of unnecessary polies down there, especially seeing as in and FPS, the player won't even be able to see it.

Well, you added some texture like bolts, but the main body of the gun is just flat. Bevelling would probably help, and raising some areas more.
