Ok, so I downloaded shimys eyehud, and it works exactly the way I needed it too.....In test mode. Whenever I build a game it doesn't work anymore, what's going on and how do I fix this?

Some things seem to get written back to the defaults when building.

The simple solution is put the image in the proper folder AFTER the build.

It is just a matter of replacing the original image with the new one. (keep the same name)

And where do I place the file after build?

oops

I guess its not so simple.

It seems like this file gets compressed during the build so its not there.

Try it again the old way...

Goto..

C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files\gamecore\huds

and back up your eyehud.dds.

Then save your image as a dds and rename your custom hud to eyehud.dds while putting it in that same folder.

If you replace the old one with yours, then it should display it.

What program did you create/convert the images as DSS?
If it was a download then give me a link so I can test the same image on this end.

Sometimes the wrong type of DDS is defaulted in the settings.

If you use Paint.NET you have several options for the DDS output.
If you pick the wrong things then the image doesn't work.

Is that the one that looks all veiny?

Because that looks just like the COD 2 one.

(I was just playing and noticed that)

It's Conjured, not Conquered.

I was waiting for Conquered to reply.

I tried your eyehud and found very little difference in them, so maybe you were just not noticing it.
If you put it in the right folder, then it should work.

Here is the first image showing the new hud in test...

Here is the second image showing the original eyehud in test mode...

As you can see there is hardly any noticable difference in the two.

Here is the third image showing the new eyehud in a built game...

I went to gamecore/huds and renamed the old eyehud to eyehudold then put this hud in there.

I did not edit it or change it in any way, and it worked fine for me.

Sorry about the misspell, I was in a hurry Anyway, I did exactly what you did to change the hud and it didn't work. But then I had some problems and had to reinstall, and now it works! Thanx for your input!
