Hi All,

Does anyone know how to create an infinate terrain or matrix? At least one that appears to be inifinate (by wrapping around itself)?

I'm still so new to DB and could use some help.

thanks,
john...
p.s. I saw the Bike Terrain demo (which uses infinate terrains), but it's not well documented and I just can't figure it out.

There may well be a better method I don't know of but I'd just create 9 matrixes in the following order:

123
456
789

And move them whenever the player steps off the middle one, i.e. so if the player steps onto #2, then move 7,8,9 up and in front like so:

789
123
456

Likewise, just move them if they step onto a different matrix so they'll always be on the middle one.

I have made one that works by moving the camera forward and jumping the tarrain and camera back everytime it reachs a certain point.

It works kinda well, but im new so there is probably a much beter method.
My Matrix is 7000x7000 devided into 70 squares. (each 100 big )

Not: I have to shift the matrix twice, to get around an error in the current version of DB.

I was under the impression that the bikes dont move in that particular demo. The shift matrix command is probably employed and the cameras FOV fiddled with

"Yes, we are"
