Wow, it actually turned out looking somewhat like it should!

What do you think? When triangulated, it's only 343 faces. It obviously needs a lot of work, though. It's kind of a cardboard-cutout right now. :/ And if you're wondering, it IS my first gun model.

Anyone got a real pistol? Wings3D just crashed... all right, never mind. But look what happened when it came back!

I think I chose too many faces when mirroring.

Spot the difference.

I love hosting my website on the computer I work on. It's so much easier than uploading pictures.

All right then, it looks like it doesn't count the virtual mirror... I finished with 7254 faces, triangulated and unoptimized.

Practice project completed in 30 minutes with 7254 faces (unoptimized). It looks nice, doesn't it? Definitely one of the best I've ever made.

I think the massive amount of faces came from the poor mirroring job.

Yep. Sure enough, I cut it open, the mirrored half was a convoluted piece of crap.

I dunno, I think I'd feel pretty safe with one of those... looks like it fires a decent caliber of bullets...

I think this thing would fire .50 caliber rounds. Frightening. xD

I'm extremely surprised at how this turned out. I never thought of myself as a decent modeler, not at all. But this kinda changed my opinion a bit. I took the time, it turned out all right. It does have quite a few issues, though.

It's too wide in certain parts like the handle and the trigger guard. You may also want to read in on how guns work, seeing as from what I know I don't think that gun would function properly.

It's okay, but it is definitely not detailed enough to serve as a first-person weapon in an FPS. Try adding some more detail, especially on the sides.

Yeah, it's my first real model. I'm still not that great at fixing stuff. And I already finalized it, so I can't really mess with it anymore.

It's fine, thanks for your compliments. I messed up quite a bit inside the mesh, which you all can't see...
